Gurulé Cousins Corner
Biography: I'm Angela Lewis, and I live in Albuquerque, NM. I started with researching my grandmother, Rafaela Gurule, and traced her back to Santiago Gurule and Elena Gallegos.I think I went crazy about that time, and just started extracting every Gurule record I could find and I'm still doing that. It's like a huge puzzle, and making the connections is a blast! I have a huge library at home, and own almost every book that's ever been published with baptism, marriage and census records for New Mexico. What a wonderful time I've had meeting so many people while helping with their Gurule research.Along the way I met Leon Moya via the internet, and even got to meet him in person when we hosted a Gurule reunion picnic in August 2000 -- he and his wife, Kay, came all the way from Australia! From the bottom of my heart are deep thanks to Leon for the Gurule mailing list and this wonderful web site. Well, that's me and I hope this sparks many of you to introduce yourself!
